Frank has meddled in the internals of several proprietary operating systems, but has been loyal to the Linux kernel since 1999. He has worked in many areas of technology, including performance, networking, platform support, drivers, real-time, and embedded. Frank has shown poor judgement by agreeing to be one of the Linux kernel devicetree maintainers. Frank is also an open source and free software advocate within Sony. Frank has presented at many LF Embedded Linux Conferences in the United States and Europe, LinuxCon Japan / Japan Linux Symposium / Japan OSS, Japan Jamboree, LinuxCon North America, Linux Plumbers, OLS, internal training, and customer training.
