Diego Rondini has been working for several years on embedded software, with particular focus on tailored embedded OSes based on either Android or "pure" Linux making use of the Yocto Project. He has been responsible in Kynetics of several ARM board ports to Android and Linux, including one of the first Android based smartwatches, presented at ARM TechCon 2011, and the first Wearable Reference Platform, presented at CES 2014.
Linux enthusiast and avid user since his high school days, he presented at ELC Europe 2017 and OpenIoT 2018 about embedded software updates.
While still contributing to several OpenEmbedded layers, from the core to the board specific ones, he is now focusing on the use of container technologies in embedded platforms at the Kynetics office located in Padua, Italy.
